Comic Relief spoof with Rowan Atkinson (who should be a real Dr. Who) as the good Dr., Jeremy Pryce as the evil nemesis, and certain familiar characters lacking noses.

David Tennant as you've never seen him. Well, I haven't:

Wonderful! Exciting! Sad!!

This bodes well for the new season. I hear rumors that Rose will somehow return. Hope so. She's the best companion so far. Kyle M. had great potential, though. sigh.

Also loved recognizing a few of my favorite Brit com actors. Mr. Copper was Richard in "Keeping Up Appearances", one of our favorites. Doug and quote them when out driving.

"Mind the cyclist, Richard!"
"Minding the cyclist, Hyacinth."

Just checked the Time Warner listings to make sure I'm set up to record the new Dr. Who. The following description is given:

New, HD, "Voyage of the Damned", (2007), A low-budget cult favorite about the journeys through the universe of a time-traveling eccentric. (Sci-Fi).

Low budget????? Low budget!!!!!!

Slander! Calumny! Snigdom!

Harumph, I say!

Low budget, indeed! mutter mutter

(Not sure what the "exanimate" mood thingy means, but I haven't used it yet and it has a frowny face. So color me exanimate.)

OK, I admit it. You were right about Torchwood getting better. Still not my favorite, but I do enjoy it.

Watching "The Sarah Jane Chronicles" tonight. Cute. I like the actress, and it's always good to see K-9. Clearly a kids' show, though. This pilot episode does seem to harken a bit to the Futurama's "Fry and the Slurm Factory" episode.

But . . . next Friday, a new Dr. Who!!!

Life is good.

Here at Casa Flewelling we've really been enjoying the new Dr. Who. Today we got BBC America added to our cable package, just in time to catch a preview for a spin off called Torchwood, starring Capt. Jack, that's starting here next weekend. Has anyone Over the Water seen it yet?

I've been rewarding myself for good behavior by watching the DVDs of Dr. Who Season Two, that my friend Nancy, a sister addict, sent me. Somehow, though the episode in which Rose actually dies is missing! What happened to her, poor thing?? I loved Rose!

I'm a big Dr. Who fan, and am really loving the lastest incarnation. Here's a nifty visual history of the good doctor.
