In the largest meat recall in US history, 135 million pounds of beef—oh, wait . . .I'm getting an update. That's 143 million pounds of beef have been recalled due to "mistreatment" of the cattle, as revealed in a whistle blower's video. Considering this is a slaughterhouse we're talking about, that's saying a lot. This happened right here in California.
So very glad that I've gone off red meat for good. Working on poultry next. Compared to those two industries, fish is about as close as you can get to "cruelty free" meat.
