One of my guild mates in WoW insists she'll teach me how to figure out twitter someday, until then I'll enjoy this interview.

It was very interesting! Sherlock Holmes is wonderful.

As I was re-listening to Traitor's Moon last week, I remembered reading it the first time. I had ordered a copy at the bookstore, as they hadn't gotten any in, and finally it arrived on my birthday. I ran to the bookstore to get it before my birthday party that day. I skipped half my party, which was a cook-out, by sitting in a lawn chair reading happily. I don't know why that memory struck me last week, but I figured I should share it since it came to mind.

I missed the twitter fun today, but I do have a question that I've often wondered about when I read series, but most authors don't make it so easy to ask questions. I was home sick with a fever yesterday, and instead of sleeping I read Casket of Souls cover to cover, and I was wondering why sometimes small details get changed from book to book - I noticed that one of the street of light's color was changed from amber to blue, and I seem to recall that the Stag and Otter was named something else before it was built. There's such attention to detail in your writing, that I assume there a reason behind it, and I was wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing why some details get shifted around.

Also, I so enjoyed Casket of Souls. I love the books where they travel too, but the nightrunning and political intrigue in Rhimminee is by far my favorite setting.

Well, I've written a lot of stories over a long period of time, and now and then I get mixed up on something and make a mistake.

I'm going through all the books in audio form before I read Casket of Souls, and they said they were going to name it the Dragon and Owl in Traitor's moon, but come the next book it was Stag and Otter. I just assumed they changed the name as people sometimes do when making things, and never thought it was a mistake.

Hunh.

(Audible is having a membership sale if anyone is interested in listening to them, and I got the Tamir books I had previously not purchased along with Casket of Souls for $40 total.)

I didn't think it was a mistake either - I assumed there was a reason. I like how the name Stag and Otter suggests ownership by both Alec and Seregil.
