Contest reminder

No submissions yet. Guess no one wants that signed copy of Shadows Return

To reiterate:
This is to announce a photo contest being held at the Flewelling Yahoo Group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Flewelling/

I mentioned that I have never seen anyone reading my books in public, so the list mom proposed the following contest:

How about we turn it into a little photo contest? The Goddess (that's Lynn) decides which photo she likes best and submitted photos must meet the following criteria:
- must have at least one of Lynn's books in it
- taken in your/ your "model's" favorite place for reading OR
- taken in a special location (special meaning special to you/ your "model" for whatever reason)

Photos must be filed at: http://ph.groups.yahoo.com/group/Flewelling/photos/browse/4f09

Contest deadline: June 24, 2008 Shadows Release Day!

Prize: signed copy of SR

Judging parameters: I pick the one I like best

I had fully intended to do this, had the spot picked out and everything. And then my photo major friend moved back home early and now I'M back home so anything I do will be very sub-par...

Though I suppose winning by default wouldn't be so bad, right?

I'd do it... but I'm trying to think of a really cool place to do it here. I won't be going into Tokyo for a few months, cause Fuji would be an awesome backdrop. :)

I can't submit a picture because Yahoo wants my credit card info before letting me register and I don't actually have a credit card. Yahoo sucks and I hope you also have another place where I can submit it!

Huh, that's weird, you're right. When I tried to register for an emailaddress this time everything was fine, no credit card needed. I'm sure last time they did want a credit card, though I was attempting to open a Yahoo calendar that time, apparently that's different? Anyway, thanks! Now I just need a photographer or model... :D

So... I live outside the U.S. (waaaaaaay outside... like in the Philippines). Can I still join? I would absolutely love to win this one because it is next to impossible finding your books here locally. I had to beg my favorite bookshop to buy it online for me and just pay extra fees... I was literally the broke college student for a few months there but it was absolutely worth it. Anyway... I'm babbling... What was my question again... Oh yeah... Can I join even if I live outside America?
