The entire Tamír series has been acquired by Otherworld Verlag of Austria, and all three books are being put out in new translations. The Bone Doll's Twin, rechristened "The Cursed Twin", will be on the shelves in trade paperback in August.

wah yaaaay. Even though the cover is not ... really something i would pick up in a bookstore... but i am haaappy they'll be re-released (even though i always prefer the originals of course, because with translation it's difficult sometimes.). (There was only one of the books released in germany though i think?)

I remember people talking about "Das Orakel von Skala" (The Oracle of Skala) which I think was the German title of The Bone Doll's Twin. Maybe they all think "Der Zwilling der Knochenpuppe", a direct translation, would have been too long. *shrugs*
I stick to the originals as well.

I wasn't only talking about the titles of the books, i've read some comments about the german translation of the nightrunner series and they weren't that nice. I am glad i did read the original version and not the german one.

i didn't like the "Die Schattengilde" title from the beginning and am pretty glad myself that I came across the English versions first (thanks again Fern~~)

Nightrunner sounds so much better than 'Schattengilde' doesn't it? :)

i think i will give 'The bones dolls twin' a chance in german though.

that's such a great icon!

ah yes, indeed. and I didn't really look into the german editions because none of my friends had it and I didn't want to buy it again (a student's budget is small enough as it is >>) but I actually am afraid of what they made of the 'nightrunning' term...

I have the Tamír Triad and read it already as well so I guess I'll pass. but NR4 is on preorder already ^^

hehe i like it as well but i didn't make it (if you wanna use the icon please credit the maker :) ).

I didn't read the german Nightrunner books either BUT i read enough comments on the net to not even wanting to read them.

NR4 is on preorder as well of course :)

I knooo! i just finished uni and i still remember last year when i thought something like 'when the nightrunner4 comes out i will probably already have a job omg how awesome' lol.

Yes, that's why I'm so pleased that they're re doing the Bone Doll, too. Usually new publishers just use the existing translation,

I'll give it a chance then! Someone should redo the Nightrunner series as well, it needs more love here in germany :)

(asdlkf i am sorry to be a totally stupid silly fangirl but i am squeeing when you reply to my comments lol. I remember the last time you did we talked about tattoos and how sexy they are on hips. rawr. *wanders off looking for pics...*...)

oh YAY finally my country does something good.. though the cover is .. well .. uh .. let's say it's not that catchy.. and the title. Oh well *shrug* gonna buy it anyway. X) Since i already own the first translation from germany and the english versions. I'm curious if the translations are okay.

and to the discussion above: well I read both, english and german version of nightrunner, and I personally think they did quite good with their translations. Of course the original is and will always be better X)

ah hey that's nice to hear that it obviously has not been THAT bad, at least one person says the translation is decent. But i guess since i read the original i am not going to try to read the german nightrunner version now XD
